We are Ann and Brian Gilbert, two of the many English people who have come to live in France in early retirement.  We live in a new house we had built in rural Mayenne. 

We decided to start a cattery in 2002 after the loss of a beloved tabby in a road accident.  We wanted to enjoy our cats in a safer environment and also give a chance to others to do the same by breeding a soft, gentle, loveable and loving cat that loves to stay indoors and be fussed over, a cat that is easy to look after and has an iron constitution, so what else could we choose other than the British Shorthair.
